Recreational activities and facilities are abundant in and around
Williamson County. Fishing, boating and swimming are enjoyed at nearby
TVA lakes and state parks. A number of excellent golf courses are
available throughout the community.
The Franklin-Williamson
County Recreation Complex, a $3.5 million recreational facility with
over 40,000 square feet, opened in April 1991. The facility offers an
indoor and outdoor swimming pool, indoor walking track, racquetball
courts, weight room, two gymnasiums, teen center, crafts room,
aerobics/exercise area, multi-purpose rooms and much more!
Of course, nearby Nashville, the state capital and a thriving city of
about 500,000, offers many attractions, including the Grand Old Opry.
